Last week, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim owner Arte Moreno raised eyebrows across Orange County when the Los Angeles Times revealed he had met with Tustin city officials about the possibility of moving his baseball team there. Moreno has publicly expressed his frustration with a lack of progress with the city of Anaheim on refurbishing Angels Stadium, and is threatening to exercise his opt-out clause of the stadium lease in 2019 and move the team to a new location...somewhere. Tustin council members have already gone on record as saying they oppose any taxpayer funds going to any prospective stadium, something Moreno is actively seeking. Will Moreno shop his team around Southern California for a new location or is he just trying to make Anaheim sweeten his pot?
