    Vigils were held across the country last night for the shooting victims at the Emanuel Church in Charleston. We hear from an AME Church leader in Southern California. Then a look at why Juneteenth, the day that marks the end of slavery in America, isn’t an official holiday. Then, why parents and students at Hobart Elementary school in Koreatown are angry that a renowned teacher there has been removed from his classroom.       Vigils were held across the country last night for the shooting victims at the Emanuel Church in Charleston. There was also a vigil at the First AME Church in South L.A.,  the oldest church founded by African-Americans in Southern California, and another at Christ Our Redeemer AME Church in Irvine. That’s one of the newest AME churches.
