AT&T and Time Warner: The $85.4 billion deal
One of the nation’s biggest phone companies is getting hitched to one of the biggest media companies. AT&T has agreed to buy Time Warner for more than $85 billion. AT&T is the largest paid-TV provider in the US, and the second largest wireless provider. Time Warner owns many of the biggest TV brands, like HBO, CNN and Warner Brothers.

A lot of people are booing the merger, even Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. But AT&T says it’ll offer customers more choices.
