The show focuses on two families in the fictional town of Mexifornia: the Gonzalezes and the Gonzalez’ neighbors - and the patriarch of that family is Bud Buckwald, a border patrol agent.

The show focuses on two families in the fictional town of Mexifornia: the Gonzalezes and the Gonzalez’ neighbors - and the patriarch of that family is Bud Buckwald, a border patrol agent. Hijinx, of course, ensues. The show is doofy and goofy, but it also pokes fun at complicated topics like assimilation and the foundering middle class.
