Disputing Frozen Embryos
Yesterday, a San Francisco Superior Court judge ordered five frozen embryos “thawed and discarded.” Dr. Mimi Lee and her ex-husband, Stephen Findley, froze the embryos five years ago when she was diagnosed with cancer. Lee says the cancer treatment has left her infertile and and she now wants to use the embryos to have a child.

Lee says the cancer treatment has left her infertile and and she now wants to use the embryos to have a child. But the couple signed an agreement that states the embryos would be destroyed if they divorced.
