    The EU elections took place over the weekend. They happen every five years, and the far right was poised to win a large share of votes. The centrist bloc lost its majority in the European Parliament. One key area is France, where Marine Le Pen’s party, National Rally, won the highest share of the vote, defeating centrist President Emmanuel Macron.
