Multi-millionaire hedge fund manager Jeffrey Epstein was charged today with sex trafficking.
Multi-millionaire hedge fund manager Jeffrey Epstein was charged today with sex trafficking. He pled not guilty and was denied bail.
Last fall, a Miami Herald investigation identified at least 60 women who said Epstein abused them. The women said that as teenagers, they were lured to his mansion and forced into sex acts, then told to find more young girls for him.
More than a decade ago, Epstein avoided federal charges by making a secret plea with then-Florida federal prosecutor Alexander Acosta. He pled guilty to minor state crimes, and served about a year in a county jail. Alexander Acosta is now Labor Secretary.
