More than 98% of IATSE (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) members voted to authorize a nationwide strike today. They represent about 60,000 “below the line” workers, which include hair and makeup artists, lighting and sound crew, and camera operators. They’ve complained of long hours, few breaks, and low wages.
