Three days later, Darren Sharper was arrested on charges of rape. It wasn’t the first time he’d drugged and raped women. He has admitted to raping 9 women in 4 states. His prison sentence: 20 years, with a chance of parole after 9 years. Is that punishment harsh enough? A new investigation by ProPublica reveals that many of the rapes might have been prevented.
