    LAUSD superintendent John Deasy resigned this morning. Former superintendent Ray Cortines is stepping in until the school board finds a permanent replacement. For the past three-and-a-half years, Deasy’s been a divisive leader. He oversaw significant improvements in student test scores.

For the past three-and-a-half years, Deasy’s been a divisive leader. He oversaw significant improvements in student test scores. But he also alienated teachers and botched two big technology projects.
