      Nevada’s largest newspaper is the Las Vegas Review-Journal. It endorsed Marco Rubio. Its owner is a major Republican donor and casino magnate, Sheldon Adelson. He has yet to pick a candidate. In 2012 he backed Newt Gingrich. We discuss how the paper is covering the election now that Adelson is the owner.

      Police Shootings

      Police here in Southern California shot four people over the weekend, three of whom died. That’s not out of the norm, given the statistics. According to a new investigation by the Los Angeles Times , more than 2,000 people have been shot by police in six Southern California counties since 2004.

      The Oscars are this Sunday. And though it might be too early to predict who the winners will be, we know what many of the nominees sound like – not American. This year, nearly half are English, Irish or Australian. How is it that these actors are so good at playing Americans? Well, one reason is they master the accent.
