Nearly four months after it was discovered, the Porter Ranch gas leak has been capped. Southern California Gas Co. executives say they’ve temporarily plugged the leak with a sludge-like material. If all goes according to plan, the crews will pour concrete into the well in the coming days. That concrete would permanently plug the leak.
