Suing foreign governments after terrorist attacks
The House of Representatives unanimously passed the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act today. The Senate already approved it unanimously. It would allow the families of 9/11 victims to sue the Saudi Arabian government for any part in the attacks. Supporters say it would allow the families to pursue long-delayed justice.

It would allow the families of 9/11 victims to sue the Saudi Arabian government for any part in the attacks. Supporters say it would allow the families to pursue long-delayed justice. But critics -- including Obama -- say it would set a dangerous precedent, possibly setting the stage for similar lawsuits against the US in the future.
