The GOP establishment is begging Paul Ryan to take over the House speaker position from the departing John Boehner. But Ryan says he won’t run for Speaker unless the House Freedom Caucus, a breakaway faction of about 40 ultra right-wing conservative Republicans, supports him.

Then, Bernie Sanders says the economic deck is stacked in favor of the wealthy. And Donald Trump appeals to Americans who don’t trust politicians; he says they dance to the tune of whoever gives them money. Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich says they’re both right.

And 130 law enforcement officials have joined forces to reduce mass incarceration in America. They’re in Washington today to come up with a plan. The group includes Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck and New York City Police Commissioner Bill Bratton.
