For the next 2 years, homeowners across Los Angeles will have large, white tent-like traps set up in their backyards. It's all part of a major investigation into urban insect biodiversity, one of the largest studies of its kind ever conducted. And scientists are already partnering with the Natural History Museum to share data on flies, bees, ladybugs, and beyond.
