A top House Democrat last week asked the Treasury Department to turn over six years of President Trump’s tax returns, setting a deadline for later this week. State lawmakers in New York are considering legislation that could allow the tax commissioner there to release Trump’s state tax returns. But Trump’s acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney said this weekend that Democrats would never get those documents.
