CBS and Viacom, together again? Both media companies are a part of the Redstone empire, and while they were split apart in 2006, a re-merger is on the horizon. CBS includes of course the broadcast network, as well as Showtime and other channels including Pop TV. Viacom includes Paramount Pictures, on the film side, and TV properties like MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon.
