When Lizandro Mendoza was 10 years old, his parents sent him to Mexico — they didn't want him to lose touch with his family across the border. They immediately enrolled him in school. But it wasn't an easy transition. "I remember that my teach didn't like me. She had an idea I was rich," Lizandro said. He talks about the misconceptions Mexicans have of US-born people.
