A 'Happily Divorced' Couple Makes Hit TV; Sundance Shortslab

During the years on The Nanny, the CBS sit-com Fran Drescher and Peter Marc Jacobson co-created, their marriage got consumed by work and Drescher ended up filing for divorce to get out from under Jacobson's controlling personality. Two years after that he came out of the closet, and, now, a decade later they have a new show based on their new relationship. Happily Divorced stars Drescher as a straight woman who, because of the economy, still lives with her gay ex-husband. Drescher and Jacobson talk about reinventing their relationship, selling this idea and working in cable.

Trevor Groth, Director of Programming for the Sundance Film Festival has seen over 10,000 shorts in his long career with Sundance. Miguel Arteta (Cedar Rapids) and Bob Goldthwait (World's Greatest Dad) are filmmakers with a strong belief if the value of making shorts to make it in the business. They share advice, insight and some of their favorite short films.
