Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo on writing Bridesmaids, one of 2011's hit comedies which is recently out on DVD and Blu-Ray. They'd worked together with the improv troupe The Groundlings where they'd done a lot of sketch writing but neither had ever written a screenplay before. They talk about working with producer Judd Apatow and director Paul Feig, and how they had to buy a how-to book on screenwriting to get the job done. Also, they reflect on the talk that Bridesmaids was supposed to be the women's answer to R-rated comedies like The Hangover.
