Brian Williams is coming back, but not to NBC Nightly News -- not full time, anyway. Instead he’ll be a breaking news anchor on MSNBC and a fill-in host on Nightly News. Some feel that this is a fair demotion and an opportunity to rebuild trust, but others are questioning why he’s coming back as any kind of news anchor when he lacks credibility. Lester Holt was officially named the full time host of Nightly News.

Fox is in an interesting moment of transition as the details of Rupert Murdoch’s succession plan continue to fall into place. Fox News’ Roger Ailes has initially said he would continue to only report to Rupert Murdoch, but he’s since been rebuked, and he’ll actually report to Murdoch’s sons, James and Lachlan.

Those supporters who were cheering and holding signs as Donald Trump announced his intention to run for president? Some of them may have been actors. The Hollywood Reporter obtained an email from a casting agency offering background actors $50 to go to the rally and cheer.
