Jeffrey Katzenberg launched Disney’s animation renaissance with a string of hits, including “The Little Mermaid” and “The Lion King.” He co-founded DreamWorks in 1994. Now he’s gambling on Quibi, a new streaming service that offers short shows for viewing on phones. He remembers some of his early days in the industry, and tells us why he believes Quibi will work — even in the middle of a pandemic.

We also remember Matt Holzman, who created KCRW’s The Business.
