Morgan Spurlock turns his cameras on Comic-Con -- the annual San Diego event that’s morphed from a comic book convention to a celebration of sci-fi, genre films, fantasy and all things fandom. What he emerges with is a sweet portrait of a group of fans who represent the core of this cultural phenomenon.

The movie is produced by a veritable dream team of nerd heroes: comic book legend Stan Lee who created 'Spiderman' and 'X-Men;' creator of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer,' Joss Whedon; producer of The Dark Knight movies, Thomas Tull; and Harry Knowles of Ain't It Cool News. With their backing, Spurlock and fellow filmmakers had complete access to the 2010 Comic-Con as they followed a handful of fans on their journey to The Con.

Today's Banter:

- Erotic novel, 50 Shades of Grey, optioned to Universal and Focus Features

- Modern Family cast negotiates for big pay raises

- Fox to launch a new cable sports channel to rival ESPN
