‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’: How voice actor Jeff Bergman brings Bugs Bunny and Sylvester to life

“Space Jam: A New Legacy” stars LeBron James, of course. But his co-star Bugs Bunny? That was prolific voice actor Jeff Bergman, who takes KCRW through some of the challenges of this often overlooked profession.

In the film, Bergman also performs Sylvester the Cat, Yosemite Sam, Yogi Bear and Fred Flintstone. Those are just a few of the nearly 200 voices in his repertoire. For Showtime’s “Our Cartoon President,” he provided the voices of both Trump and Biden.

Bergman also shares how a fateful meeting with the legendary Mel Blanc launched him on a career voicing scores of animated characters.
