    The American Film Market

    This week, 7,000 film folks from 70 countries will converge in Santa Monica to do half-billion dollars in production and distribution deals. Since 1981, the AFM has been known as the place to sell and find international financing for B-movies and genre films. It's also become an increasingly important venue for major studios' private labels to buy quality foreign films and sell their wares to the world.
