The LA County Board of Supervisors voted this week to approve a nearly $2 billion plan to tear down and then rebuild Men's Central Jail and build a campus-like women's jail at the former Mira Loma Detention Center. Douglas Marino from the Los Angeles Register covered that story, and spoke with KCRW's Steve Chiotakis. And Ben Bolch, NBA reporter for the Los Angeles Times, reports that Donald Sterling's wife, Shelley Sterling, claims that NBA sanctions against her husband do not apply to her or her family.
