    Whether or not a movie is made in this company town, Hollywood seems to really like one thing: destroying Los Angeles. The latest iteration of imagination and conflagration on the big screen is San Andreas.

    Whether or not a movie is made in this company town, Hollywood seems to really like one thing: destroying Los Angeles. In films like The Day After Tomorrow, Escape from LA, Battle: Los Angeles and many others, LA is ravaged by fires, floods, tornadoes and earthquakes. The latest iteration of imagination and conflagration on the big screen is San Andreas. KCRW's Steve Chiotakis spoke to Harry Medved from the entertainment site Fandango and author of Hollywood Escapes, and Alex Pappademas, writer for Grantland.
