Director Baltasar Kormákur utilizes his personal acting experience to allow his cast to channel the truest essence of a character in a method he likes to call "working from chaos," a concept perhaps recognized growing up in Iceland's unusual and sometimes turbulent weather. With a lifetime of preparation for the natural disasters portrayed in his films, Kormákur now takes on Earth's highest summit in his new film, Everest.
