Ordinary People. A River Runs through It. Quiz Show. Lions for Lambs. The Conspirator. Throughout his entire career as a director, Robert Redford's films have asked questions, about who we are and why we are the way we are. His passion for the humanistic side of cinema has informed all of his work, most recently The Company You Keep, which stars Shia LaBeouf, Julie Christie, Susan Sarandon and Nick Nolte. In this memorable interview, taped at the Sundance Sunset Cinemas in Los Angeles, Redford talks about many of the things that inspired him throughout his life as a filmmaker, from the Beat poets to Big Sur to California jazz. This is Redford's first ever visit to The Treatment.
