Ruben Fleischer: Gangster Squad

Director Ruben Fleischer talks about the intersection of violence and comedy in all three of his feature films: Zombieland, 30 Seconds or Less, and Gangster Squad. The film stars Sean Penn as notorious gangster Mickey Cohen, who, when the film starts in 1949, rules the world of organized crime on the west coast. Fleischer talks about how invaluable it was to have Penn on set. A former music video director, he also has a fresh take on opening credits, choreography, sounds and interiors.
