Steve McQueen is an artist in the purest sense; he speaks as if rapidly sketching ideas using words as his medium. His work has spanned all genres and variations including sculpture, photography, and war art. His 2008 film, Hunger, won him the Camera d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. His latest film, Shame, is a sexually and emotionally graphic look into the life of a man struggling with a crippling sex addiction, and has garnered some attention for opening on December 2 with an NC-17 rating.
