Prime Minister Netanyahu said today that Israel will not scale back attacks on the Gaza Strip until the latest rocket fire comes to an end. US and UN offers to mediate a ceasefire have gone nowhere, with the death toll now almost 100 Palestinians and zero Israelis. We’ll hear what it’s like to be living in Gaza City and whether a full-scale Israeli incursion is likely.

Also, a re-shaping of America's tobacco industry, and "Prius Repellant" becomes a weapon in America’s culture wars.

At least 74 Palestinians, most of them civilians, have been killed in Israel's Gaza offensive, Palestinian officials said on Thursday, and militants kept up rocket attacks on Tel Aviv and other cities in warfare showing no signs of ending soon.
