Last month, Federal District Court Judge Virginia Phillips declared Don't Ask Don't Tell unconstitutional . Yesterday, she ordered the US military to stop enforcing the policy that prohibits openly gay men and women from serving their country.

Yesterday, she ordered the US military to stop enforcing the policy that prohibits openly gay men and women from serving their country. Though it's an order the Obama Administration probably will appeal, it's still "a significant milestone for gay rights in the United States." That's according to John Schwartz of the New York Times.
