    As the Australian Open gets under way, there are new reports that gambling syndicates are fixing high-level professional tennis matches.

    The BBC and BuzzFeed are reporting that match-fixing is prevalent in professional tennis. Jon Wertheim is executive editor and senior writer at Sports Illustrated. He’s author of This is Your Brain on Sports: The Science of Underdogs, the Value of Rivalry, and What We Can Learn from the T-Shirt Cannon.
