Has the Dalai Lama Given up on China?

The Olympic Games are over, but China has not made good on its pledge to renew talks about a measure of autonomy for Tibet. Now the Dalai Lama, who's remained cheerfully patient and optimistic about the status of his country, says he has given up hope of reaching agreement about the future of the homeland he left for exile in India more than 50 years ago.
