What may last even longer than the money Hollywood contributes to the campaigns are the images of presidents and the presidency that real presidents have to live down, or live up to. Do these images define the presidency or has reality gone beyond the reach of credible fiction? We discuss the perception of presidency in popular culture with those who create the images -- Rod Lurie, Lawrence O'Donnell and Gary Ross, film critic Peter Rainer, and others. Newsmaker: The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning against drugs containing Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) which is found in over-the-counter cold remedies and diet pills that are being pulled from the shelves by drug stores all over the country. Neil Benowitz, clinical pharmacologist and professor of medicine at UC San Francisco, and co-author of a recent study on the stroke risks of certain dietary supplements, explains. David Brower, first director of the Sierra Club, also founded Friends of the Earth and Earth Island Institute to advocate for the global environment.
