    Israel Resumes Air Strikes After Proposed Ceasefire Collapses

    Israel stopped air strikes in Gaza for six hours today while Egypt tried to negotiate a ceasefire. But Hamas said it was never consulted, and it never discontinued its rocket fire into Israel.
