Lewis “Scooter” Libby, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison today for lying and his role in obstructing an investigation into the leak of the identity of a CIA operative. The presiding judge also imposed a fine of $250,000 on Vice President Dick Cheney’s former chief-of-staff, as well as a two-year probation following his release from prison.Investigative reporter Murray Waas is the author of The United States v.
