Preemptive Attack and Weapons of Mass Destruction

President Bush says Israel acted in self-defense when it bombed a terrorist training camp inside Syria. All other members of the UN Security Council have condemned the attack as a violation of international law. President Bush and British Prime Minister Blair are accused of exaggerating the threat posed by weapons of mass destruction when they attacked Iraq. In a new book, Britain-s former Foreign Secretary Robin Cook claims that, Prime Minister Tony Blair conceded privately that Iraq did not have quickly deployable weapons of mass destruction. We look at Israel-s controversial air strike with journalists in the US and Middle East and experts on the Middle East and Syria. In the second part we-ll hear from journalists and experts if the US and Britain set a bad example when they took pre-emptive action against Iraq.
