Terrorist Attack in Uganda Targets World Cup Watchers

Three bomb blasts in Kampala yesterday have killed more than seventy people. The nearly simultaneous explosions in the Ugandan capital targeted crowds that gathered to watch the World Cup finals. A militant Islamic group in Somalia, has claimed responsibility for the blasts.

A militant Islamic group in Somalia, has claimed responsibility for the blasts. Elizabeth Dickinson, Assistant Managing Editor at Foreign Policy magazine, is a former Nigeria correspondent for the Economist.
