The Conflict between Ethiopia and Somalia

Fighting continues in Somalia, after Ethiopian troops attacked Islamist forces there. While Ethiopia wants to see the moderate transitional government of Somalia back in power, old regional rivalries threaten to spread the conflict. Do Islamic fundamentalists pose a real threat in eastern Africa? Is the unstable region a breeding ground for al Qaeda terrorists?
