US Gun Stores on the Mexican Border Supply Drug War Arsenals
A law passed by Congress in 2003 protects the identities of US gun dealers who sold firearms that have been seized at crime scenes in Mexico. Today's Washington Post reports that it has "cracked that secrecy," and names the top dealers in California, Arizona and Texas. It also explains why not much is being done to stop the practice.

Of the top 12 dealers whose guns have been traced to Mexico's brutal drug violence, eight are in Texas, three in Arizona and one in California. James Grimaldi co-authored today's report.
