A Tribute to Nelson Mandela & South Africa

This week's Rhythm Planet program celebrates South African music in the struggle against apartheid, including many songs paying tribute to Nelson Mandela. This music not only celebrates Mandela's courage, leadership, and legacy: it is a celebration of life and the triumph of hope over despair. Today's show features South African musicians present and past, as well as music from Peter Gabriel, Eric Bibb, and Paul Simon.
