    On Sunday, July 1, "the barefoot diva," Cape Verdean superstar CESARIA EVORA joins TOM SCHNABEL, on CAFÉ LA from backstage at the Hollywood Bowl. Evora, along with Brazilian bossa nova queen BEBEL GILBERTO, opens KCRW's World Festival 2001 at The Hollywood Bowl at 7:30 PM that evening. -Global Divas- the first of six world music concerts featuring top artists from around the globe, as programmed by Tom Schnabel, now in his third year as Program Director for World Festival. Schnabel's radio program moves to the Hollywood Bowl on performance days. On July 15, "A Night Out in Old Havana" sees Buena Vista Social Club presenting Orquesta Ibrahim Ferrer and special guests Ruben Gonzales and Chucho Valdes. July 22 features "French Twists" with Youssou N'Dour and Sade, and on July 29, it's -Celtic Journeys II- - back by popular demand is Altan, with special guests and dancers.
