In this new book Cohodas traces the complicated life and psyche of this brilliant and complicated musical star, from her beginning as a classical virtuoso to her mental unravelling in later years. Cohodas was Tom’s guest a few years ago with her book on the history of the great Chicago label, Chess Records.
