Born in Mongolia to a Chinese father and a Mongolian mother, she started singing Mongolian folk songs at the age of five. She later fell in love with the music of Peter Gabriel, Bjork, and Deep Forrest. She moved to Shanghai to record her first album, Alive, which has charted in over 20 countries. A multi-million seller in China alone, her album is due out in the US on July 29 on Wrasse Records, licensed from Universal China.
