    Youssou N'Dour

This Sunday, July 22nd, Tom will interview Youssou N'Dour, who is first on a double bill with pop diva Sade at the Hollywood Bowl. The Lion is a symbol of strength in Africa, and Youssou N'Dour is known as the Lion of Senegal. Championed by Peter Gabriel and Spike Lee, he burst upon the scene in the late 80's, toured with Bruce Springsteen, Tracy Chapman, and others as part of Amnesty International's Human Rights Now tour, and remains one of Africa's most important artists.
