City Controller Wendy Greuel and Councilman Eric Garcetti are two liberal Democrats who want to be Mayor. They've done their best to sound different without offering big ideas or a lot of specifics, but they're setting records for campaign spending. Will they overcome predictions of record low turnout? We look at the Mayor's race and the rest of tomorrow’s ballot. Also, all those political mailers piling up at your house? Where do they really come from? We look at the fine print.

On our rebroadcast of today’s To the Point, the Dow and other stock-market indexes are setting records. Housing construction is up. But eight million people are unemployed and a smaller proportion of people own homes than a decade ago. Are we in for increased prosperity or bursting bubbles? We get a reality check on the economy.
