Eric Garcetti, who was president of the LA City Council until he decided to run for Mayor, was elected to lead America’s second largest city in a very low-turnout election. He'll have to deal with a very different body than the one he used to run. Garcetti spent his first morning as mayor talking to business groups — with some conspicuous exceptions. The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and the Valley Industry and Commerce Association were not at the table. Can he expect widespread support as his term gets under way?
