Which Way, L.A.?

Bars, Bans & Business

No smoking in bars is a drag, and the tobacco deal is losing its puff. Just weeks after it went into effect, the State assembly has voted to lift the ban on smoking in bars. And Congress wants to scale back the tobacco settlement. Is smoking a social habit we can't kick? Are the bar bans bad for business? Or, are the vested interests just too big to take on?
